Interested participants can submit their 250-word synopsis proposal along with following
- Synopsis should cover story idea, background, and/or characterization and/or plot.
- 1-page excerpt from the manuscript
- Proposals excepted for English book only
- Fiction/Non-Fiction proposals allowed
What is the Selection Procedure of Bangalore Literature Festival LITMART
Storytellers interested in submitting their ideas at Bangalore Literature Festival 2018 LIMART should keep be well aware about the selection procedure that organizers use.
Note: Interested people are instructed to submit their synopsis and summary via online mode only. No Offline submission will be considered for LIMART competition. The link to submit your story will be made live at bangaloreliteraturefestival.org months prior to the event on October 29, 2018.
Jury will shortlist 25 best ideas for novel in addition to 10 waitlisted synopsis. Finalists will be invited to pitch their ideas in person to the appointed jury.
What should be the Pitch Format for BLF LITMART ?
The finalists will be given a time window of 180 seconds to pitch their idea to jury and live audience. You can choose any one of the following mediums to express your theme.

Jury at LITMART encourage participants to use any Pitch Formats as long as it is within the speculated time window.
The Pitch by aspired storytellers is followed by Q&A rounds where jury asks questions related to the script.
Terms and Conditions at Bangalore Literature Festival LITMART
Bangalore Literature Festival lists following conditions for LITMART event at their official website. Participants applying for the event must abide by all the listed terms and conditions.
Upon failure, candidate ill be removed from the process, thereafter.
- Only unpublished authors can apply to participate in LitMart
- The Bangalore Literature Festival is only a facilitator via LitMart to connect aspiring authors with literary agents, commissioning editors and publishers. We do not guarantee or promise any publication deals or commercial contracts from the event
- The decision of the jury is final and the Festival does not have any influence on the same
